Experiments

Every student attends four classes entitled Experiments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, during his/her sophomore and junior years. Through these experiments, they acquire a wide variety of knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Graduation study

Each student takes part in research activity in a laboratory during his/her senior year. The research results are reported at the mid-term reporting session (an oral presentation), at the final reporting session (a poster presentation), and in a graduation thesis. About a half of the students go on to the graduate school and continue his/her research.

Tutor program

A staff member is assigned to each student as a tutor. Every student can get advice from his/her tutor on any study and life issues.

Study room

Students can use a study room freely. It is located in Faculty of Science and Engineering Building 8 (room number 602).

Usually, the room is open from 8:30 to 17:30 on weekdays.

Prizes

A prize from Faculty Dean is given to the sophomore and junior students who achieved the best scholastic attainments.

Excellent students are awarded by academic societies, too.
○ Awards from Kyushu branch of The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ)
(to one graduate from the undergraduate course and to one graduate from the master's course)
○ Awards from Kyushu section of The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE)
(to one graduate from the undergraduate course and to one graduate from the master's course)

Furthermore, some students are awarded for their research achievements and/or great presentations from a variety of academic societies.

Graduation celebration party

In the party, every graduate receives a diploma. Some students get the above-mentioned prizes and awards for their achievements.
